I can proudly mention the many years of experience I have working with professional cameras, but I’ll never forget where it truly began. Family has always been important to me, and I owe my family an enormous Thank-You for sparking this journey. Truly, I couldn’t have done any of this without them. Since 2011 I've been working hands-on with high-end cameras, preserving memories and creating stunning images of life's most significant and emotional events. For me, visual storytelling is not just a career but rather a lifelong passion of preserving genuine and compelling experiences.
Cameras came early into my life, well before I could fully understand the magic they produce. The spark for my craft began as a young boy, sometime around 8 or 9 years old. Back then, the internet was new and the world was a much different place. My parents purchased a camcorder somewhere throughout the years, and come around summertime, my dad would gather up the family and take us all on vacation: a 30-hour road-trip deep down into Mexico. Of the many reasons there could’ve been to take such a long drive, I like to think he would take us down through Mexico so we could learn about our roots and give us a chance to meet and connect with family we hadn’t seen in a long time.
Along for the ride came the camcorder of course, which naively was rather a toy for me. I made it my mission to take that camera and document everything I could. I interviewed family and friends, recorded childish things, and tried my best to make “movies” with my cousins -- all of which were valuable memories to bring back home. I found joy peering through the viewfinder, documenting the essence of being a kid. Little did I know, while I was capturing these memories of the priceless kind, the camera was capturing me.
Likely, I didn't produce my best work back then, for I was just a growing kid exploring the world. Fast forward to today, I am still a kid at heart, I am still exploring the world, and I am still having fun with my camera at hand. I've basically been doing this work my whole life, it's like a bit of second nature. The only difference between then and now is the cameras I use today are of much higher quality and much more sophisticated, while the work I produce is polished, professional, and deeply intentional.
Whether I'm covering a corporate event, an intimate wedding, or an on-location portrait session, my goal is always the same: to create true-to-life images that feel authentic, emotional, and timeless. My approach is grounded in real moments, natural light, and thoughtful storytelling with a focus on helping my clients feel empowered, seen, and celebrated.
When it comes to the work I produce, whether high-quality imagery or cinematic videos, I know deep down inside when I’ve done a good job, and when I know that I’ve done a good job, I know my clients are going to love the images they see.
A photo of me and my brother, both ready to perform; one in concert band and the other as a cameraman. This must have been around the year 2002.
A lot of what I know about photography I learned from my brother. So truly in this photo is a mentor, and his protégé.
